"I'm on my way to an audition," says Tara Agace, from her carphone, while driving through Hollywood. Agace may be a jellery designer nowadays, but old habits die hard; she moved from London to Los Angeles two years ago to work as an actress. While she made a few films ("none you'll heard of") it's her jewellery that's making her name: semi-precious stones and crystal beads sourced in Santa Fe, which she threads onto wire twisted into rings, earrings and chokers. Her work is the cool side to West Coast style: this has nothing to do with Harry Winston.
